PLUS

An in-person, Michigan specific session for parents and caregivers of school-aged children, “Talk to a Teacher: Sickle Cell and Special Ed.” This in-person workshop lets you talk with a special education teacher about 504 and IEP Plans, accommodations, learning environments, how children are assessed, and what you can expect. Pre-registration is strongly recommended to save your space.

Adults with sickle cell disease often experience challenges accessing quality care and maintaining their health. VoWW’s Wellness Series pairs fun with health education to help mitigate SCD complications for adult Warriors by providing assessments that can establish a baseline for care or provide interval health status insights. The food, fun, and giveaways add to the day with chances to win gas, grocery and pharmacy gift cards along with other prizes just for showing up.
